SNAP Program

Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) is designed to help individuals and families in our communities with household incomes of $40,000 or less, to access affordable spay and neuter services for up to two pets per household.

We require applicants to provide proof of income to be eligible for the program. We then ask pet-owners for information about their pets, as shown on the application for below. Once the pet-owners pay part of the reduced fee to LAWS, we make arrangements with local veterinarians to spay or neuter the pets(s). LAWS shares in the cost of the procedure and also provides a rabies shot if needed and a microchip for the pets at no extra cost to the pet-owners.

If you wish to make a donation towards SNAP, you may indicate that you want to your donation to go to the 'Trouble' Fund.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"We are so appreciative for everything that you, LAWS & Blueberry Creek Veterinary Hospital have done for us! Not only does the SNAP program prevent the births of unwanted kittens, and of course, SNAP helps low-income people to afford to get their cats spayed, but SNAP also improves the mental well-being of cat owners by relieving the financial stress, the guilt of not having their cats spayed, and the worry that our cats could escape and get pregnant.
